Translation Coordinator
Location:
Changi Airport, Singapore
Responsibilities:
Provide on-site interpretation between Japanese construction workers and local Singapore staff
Support smooth communication during daily briefings, safety meetings, and technical discussions
Translate documents such as work instructions, safety guidelines, and project updates
Assist the Project Manager with communication tasks
Handle urgent translation needs during critical construction phases
Requirements:
Fluent in both spoken and written Japanese and English (essential for interpretation tasks)
Possess a valid Class 3 or Class 3A driving license
Prior experience in Japanese interpretation is an advantage
Willingness to learn basic construction terminology and safety regulations
Ability to adapt quickly and respond flexibly on-site
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Skills:
Simultaneous interpretation skills
Document translation proficiency
Cross-cultural understanding and adaptability
Time management and organizational skills
Employment Type:
Full-time (1-year contract)
→ Potential conversion to permanent employment based on performance after one year
