Overview
Our client, a family office investing in Japanese equities, is seeking a Japanese Equity Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of research activities supporting investment decision-making, with a primary focus on fundamental analysis of companies.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive investment research on Japanese listed companies, including the collection and analysis of financial statements, IR materials, and disclosure documents
Monitor and analyze macroeconomic indicators and market trends related to the Japanese equity market
Gather information and generate insights through company meetings, discussions with sell-side analysts, and participation in industry conferences
Provide general support to assist investment analysts in their decision-making process
Requirements
Japanese language proficiency: Advanced reading ability equivalent to JLPT N1, as the role involves extensive use of Japanese-language materials
PC skills: Excel skills for business use (functions, data management, table creation, etc.)
Financial knowledge: Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of the three financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
Motivation: Strong interest in equity investment
Experience: Prior experience in equity research or investment-related teams is a plus
