Job Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of generator set enclosures, ensuring compliance with acoustic, thermal, safety, and structural standards.
- Manage the full product lifecycle: concept design, prototyping, validation, and release to manufacturing.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and vendors to optimize designs for cost, manufacturability, and durability.
- Oversee testing and validation (acoustics, vibration, thermal, IP/weatherproof).
- Utilize CAD/CAE tools for 3D design and validate CFD/FEA analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices.
- Work closely with customers and stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and performance leadership to the design team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product design and manufacturing.
- Strong background in sheet metal design, acoustics, thermal management, and structural analysis.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, NX); PDM experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes, coatings, and corrosion protection standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
