About the QS Manager (Reclamation Project) Role:
A leading construction company is looking for a QS Manager. This candidate will be accountable for the commercial and cost management of projects, from inception through to close out. The role involves ensuring all operations are carried out to control costs, maximize value, minimize future liabilities and maintain the required standard of quality and safety
Key Responsibilities:
A leading construction company is looking for a QS Manager. This candidate will be accountable for the commercial and cost management of projects, from inception through to close out. The role involves ensuring all operations are carried out to control costs, maximize value, minimize future liabilities and maintain the required standard of quality and safety
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking off measurement & monthly progress claim
- Project administration and documentation include preparation of interim valuations, pricing, and agreement of contract variations
- Familiar with the evaluation of tender, preparation of tender & quotation
- Well-versed and knowledgeable of construction contract terminology
- Evaluation and certificate of sub-contractors' progress payments
- Carry out quantity take-off for tendering of projects
- Review and advise the Project Manager on the cost impact of variation of project specification
- Carry out miscellaneous tasks required as part of the ISO Quality Management System
- Other quantity surveyor duties as assigned
To succeed in the QS Manager job, you will need to have core skills such as a practical and logical mind; creativity and innovation; strong numeracy, and financial management.
Key Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with Reclamation Project experience
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and applications
