A MNC plant engineering company has an opening for a Construction Manager (CM) in order to support Japanese MD.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, as CM, you will be expected to manage/lead about cost, quality, process, transparency and information, mainly by communicating with both the client and company.
1. Operations Management: manage/lead the day-to-day operations in the organization to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of project execution
2. Risk Management: to determine and mitigate project-related risks and ensure that the strategy is progressing without delay.
3. Cross-functional Collaboration: foster collaboration between different departments, such as EPC departments and finance, to ensure seamless project execution and contribute to the overall development of the organization.
4. Performance (KPI) Management: develop KPIs and indicators to monitor the performance of projects, operations and commercial activities.
5. Continuous Improvement Activities: implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve business processes, outputs to project execution and overall organizational efficiency.
6. Interaction with stakeholders: negotiate with internal and external stakeholders, such as customers, contractors and regulatory bodies, to ensure transparency and consistency in operations and project execution.
7. Budget Management: allocate and manage budgets for projects and various activities, contributing to the achievement of financial targets while maintaining cost-effectiveness.

JOB REQUIREMENT
● Japanese: Proficient level (JLPT N1, as the reporting line is the Japanese MD and there is frequent interaction with the customer's Japanese POC)
● English: Business level (Generally used for internal communication with the Malaysian head office and other offices)
● Experience in EPC (or Construction) projects in the plant engineering industry with at least 5 years of experience in CM
● Those who wish to work in South East Asia, particularly in Singapore

Working days: Monday - Friday
Working hours: 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Salary Range: From SGD9,000
Bonus: Yes (VB)
Annual Leave: 12 days in the first year (days increase with years of service)
