About the Assistant Logistics Manager Role:
A leading manufacturing company is looking for a An Assistant Logistics Manager to coordinate to assist in managing inventory levels, including tracking stock levels, conducting regular audits, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and plan resources for the daily inbound/outbound warehouse operations to ensure efficient and timely distribution
- Contribute to the development and adaptation of warehousing policies and procedures for effective internal control and management
- Oversee shelving storage management within the warehouse
- Manage inventory accuracy by monitoring daily warehouse activities, conducting cycle counts, stock takes, and verifying audit results
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing Toyota Japanese production system concepts like Kaizen and Genchi Genbutsu to optimize warehouse processes and workflows
- Implement and oversee safety procedures in warehouse operations, ensuring team members adhere to their daily duties
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills to motivate and organize team members, striving to meet or exceed productivity targets
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports to Management/JHQ
- Participate in the hiring, training, and development of warehouse personnel
To succeed as the Assistant Logistics Manager job, you will need to be strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication abilities, and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams to optimize logistics operations and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Key Requirements:
- Hold a diploma or degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or a related field of study
- Have a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
- Exhibit a willingness to engage in hands-on operations and possess a customer service-oriented mindset
- Possess strong analytical skills with sensitivity to numbers, figures, and time
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Power Point) for data analysis and reporting purposes
- Prior experience in warehouse/logistics/Japanese manufacturing will be advantageous
- Be self-driven, highly motivated, and demonstrate initiative
