COMPANY OVERVIEW
Our client is a well-established leader in authentic Japanese cuisine and premium food products. They are dedicated to delivering fresh seafood, fine sake, and a wide range of Japanese delicacies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and update supplier database, contact lists, and SOPs.
Keep stock lists updated, including cost and selling prices.
Liaise with outlet managers for product and material orders (e.g., kitchenware, packaging).
Negotiate with suppliers for best pricing, quality, and terms.
Conduct market research to propose new products and suppliers.
Source alternative products when items are unavailable.
Coordinate with suppliers on product, shipping, and delivery issues.
Assist chefs with ordering specific items (e.g., salmon, sake).
Design and implement inventory tracking systems.
Document daily deliveries and shipments for inventory updates.
Prepare and oversee stock-taking procedures.
Generate analysis reports on inventory operations and stock levels.
Communicate with outlet managers and marketing department.
Travel regularly to outlets.
Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by the manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Knowledge of purchasing processes and inventory management.
Ability to conduct market research and identify new suppliers/products.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Proficient in maintaining databases and SOP documentation.
Capable of preparing analytical reports.
Willingness to travel regularly to outlets.
Prior experience in purchasing or inventory control preferred.
