Professional Engineer (PE) - Civil/Structural
Responsibilities:
Structural Design & Analysis: Lead the design and analysis of civil and structural elements for landed houses, ensuring safety, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
Regulatory Compliance (QP Role): Act as the Qualified Person (PE) for structural works. Prepare, endorse, and submit structural calculations and plans to BCA for approval.
Site Supervision & Inspection: Conduct regular structural inspections to ensure works comply with approved plans, geotechnical reports, and safety standards.
Coordination: Work closely with the Architect (QP), contractors, and M&E consultants to resolve technical conflicts and optimize design solutions.
Risk Management: Identify potential structural risks and geotechnical issues, proposing effective mitigation strategies to prevent delays or hazards.
Certification: Issue requisite certificates (e.g., TOP/CSC) and endorse as-built drawings upon project completion.
Problem-Solving: Provide on-site engineering solutions for unforeseen conditions such as soil issues, underpinning, or retaining wall construction.
Requirements:
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Registration: Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with the Professional Engineers Board (PEB).
Experience: Minimum 8-12 years of experience, specifically in landed residential projects. Experience with A&A (Addition & Alteration) works is highly preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, Prokon, or similar). Strong understanding of geotechnical considerations for landed properties.
Personal Attributes: Analytical mindset, strong decision-making abilities, and excellent communication skills.
