Our client, a multinational energy company, is looking to hire an LNG Trading & Market Analyst. This role is part of the LNG trading team in Singapore, working closely with traders, risk, and internal stakeholders to deliver market analysis, forecasting, and data-driven insights.
Job Responsibilities:
1.LNG Market Analysis
Analyse global LNG supply-demand, pricing, shipping, and infrastructure
Gather market intelligence through industry engagement
Monitor key indicators (price freight, inventory, demand trends)
Track regulatory, geopolitical, and macroeconomic developments
Assess carbon markets impact and related risks/opportunities
2. Forecasting & Modelling
Build and maintain models for supply-demand, pricing, and cargo flows
Develop mid- to long-term market forecasts
Construct forward price curves, including illiquid tenors
Apply both fundamental and market-based methodologies
Continuously refine forecasting accuracy
3. Trading Support
Provide analytics for trade evaluation and portfolio optimization
Analyze logistics, freight economics, and delivery structures
Support hedging strategies and risk mitigation
Conduct economic analysis for transactions and value creation
Balance profitability with security of supply and operational needs
4. Reporting & Performance Analysis
Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders
Deliver regular market updates with actionable insights
Track trading performance and P&L drivers
Ensure data quality and integrity
Improve analytical tools and processes
Job Requirements:
Degree in business, finance, math, engineering or related fields
Min 5 years' experience in LNG trading analytics or similar industry
Strong understanding of LNG value chain and commodity markets
Knowledge of key indices (TTF, Henry Hub, JKM, Brent)
Strong communication, teamwork, and multicultural adaptability
