Our client is looking for a Director, Infrastructure (IT)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Responsible to initiate and support IT projects to guarantee that network infrastructure supports on-going Digitalisation efforts of Group IT.
  • Ensure the network's and its systems' availability and security.
  • Design network infrastructure, policies, processes to enable continuous governance of the Global network both on premise and in the Cloud.
  • Key member of the IT infrastructure team offering guidance and expertise to both business operations and the IT team.
  • Assist with IT initiatives in the company, either for the IT staff or the business.
  • Recommend IT efforts throughout the IT team to modernise operations, improve capability or satisfy regulatory demands.
  • Responsible for project support or modification requests as needed, as well as accommodating project/change timelines and work schedules.
  • Capable of efficiently managing, planning, and resourcing projects in a complex organisation
  • Overall network leadership and technical hands-on responsibility for all technologies and operations implemented in the Group.
  • Manage a small team of network engineers to guarantee that networks continue to satisfy all operations' needs.
  • In charge of all network operations and capable of developing SOPs and policies.
  • Provide guidelines and guidance to ensure that all networks, both local and remote, are built to a common standard.
  • Technically competent in LAN, WIFI, WAN technologies, has to grasp BGP, MPLS and SDWAN technologies.
  • Good understanding of network protocols and standards to maintain firewalls and do the security investigations.
  • Able to cooperate with various disciplines, understand needs, collaborate and give solutions to fulfil multi-discipline project objectives.
  • Assist other IST teams, such as SAP Basis, Network, and Applications, in providing solutions for any IT initiatives.

  • examination and audit network security, including firewall rule settings, log examination, and perimeter security.
  • Ensure security reporting on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Examine and recommend techniques and procedures for efficient operation management.
  • Maintain service level agreements and maintain service quality.
  • Should be familiar with Cisco VOIP and UC configuration. Experience with multi-vendor VOIP configuration will be advantageous.
  • Manage operational administrative tasks such as:
  • Supervising suppliers and ensuring proper completion of work
  • Purchasing of equipment and services.
  • Maintaining billing data, contract expiration, and payment coordination.
  • Updating system documentation, equipment inventory, SOPs, and so on.
  • System of observation.
  • Creating management status reports.
  • Comfortable with "paperwork" and knowledge of corporate administrative procedures
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
  • A bachelor's degree in information technology and a Cisco Certified Network Associate certification are required.
  • A minimum of 12 years of relevant hands-on experience in IT networking and infrastructure support is required.
  • 6 years of experience in people management, managing managers, and engineering
  • It is necessary to be familiar with Cisco Networking and VOIP, Palo Alto and Fortinet, as well as Windows Exchange, Windows AD, AD RMS, Sharepoint, SQL Server, SCOM, and SCCM.
  • Have good leadership and people-management abilities.
  • Comfortable with major cloud services such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and AliCloud, among others.
  • It is convenient to travel wherever needed.
  • A team-oriented self-starter who is resourceful and can work independently in a fast-paced workplace.
  • Experienced IT expert with a solid understanding of IT processes and prior experience optimising them
