Company and Job Overview

We’re searching for a CVD Equipment Manager to be part of our Thin Film Engineering team. You will be responsible for managing and leading a group of equipment Senior Engineers, Engineers, and Associate Engineers.

 

Responsibilities

Develop plans and strategies to achieve and exceed manufacturing performance metrics.

Set targets, goals, and projects for the section to minimize wafer scrap, reduce equipment cost per wafer, and optimize equipment capability and utilization to meet operational objectives.

Collaborate with stakeholders to review and compare equipment performance and reliability, aiming to enhance overall equipment efficiency.

Participate in the implementation of stakeholders development.

Plan, monitor, and assess equipment capacity to ensure alignment with production demands.

Forecast and budget for equipment maintenance and related expenses.

Establish Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs for all equipment, continuously optimizing for quality and cost-effectiveness.

Coordinate with vendors to resolve equipment issues and implement improvements to enhance performance.

Oversee equipment improvement processes to achieve high Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives through Quality Improvement Teams (QIT) to maximize equipment utilization and reduce maintenance costs.

Conduct performance appraisals and develop career pathways for team members.

Provide training and mentorship to Engineers and Associate Engineers to promote peak performance.

Hold regular feedback and communication sessions to foster work improvements and maintain high morale.

Ensure thorough documentation of processes, improvements, and procedures.

Perform facility audits, ensuring adherence to good housekeeping and safety standards in the fab.

Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to support company-wide initiatives.

Drive the Transform Platform by generating Lean Six Sigma to create value for the organization.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

PhD, MSc, or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or Physics.

Minimum of 6–8 years of relevant experience in wafer fabrication, with at least 3 years preferred in equipment or process development.

Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, and coaching abilities.

In-depth knowledge of wafer fabrication processes, equipment configurations, WPH (Wafer per Hour), and the overall semiconductor process flow.

Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong leadership qualities.

Collaborative team player with analytical mindset and attention to detail.
