Headquartered in China, our client is in commodity trading industry with global presence. As part of expansion, the company is looking for a Risk and Compliance Officer to join Singapore office.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the Company conducts its business in full compliance with all national and international laws and regulations and the Group’s internal guidelines and standards that are relevant to its industry
- Develop risk management strategies and monitor the Company’s overall trading and hedging exposure
- Develop and regularly audit company procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risk
- Perform periodic reviews to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls measures of the Company
- Provide training and support to employees for a better understanding of potential risks and compliance issues.
- Undertake special projects, ad-hoc audits, process reviews, fraud investigation or similar on request
- Ensure compliance with national and multi-national sanctions programs and anti-money laundering regulations
Requirements:
- Degree in Economics / Commerce or equivalent
- At least 5 years relevant experiences in risk / compliance / internal control positions
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin is a must as this role requires to liaise with Chinese stakeholders
- Able to work in a team and highly independent
- Candidates with shorter notice period preferred
