About the QS Manager (M&E) Role:
A leading construction company is looking for a QS Manager. This candidate will be accountable for the commercial and cost management of projects, from inception through to close out. The role involves ensuring all operations are carried out to control costs, maximize value, minimize future liabilities and maintain the required standard of quality and safety

The role involves ensuring all operations are carried out to control costs, maximize value, minimize future liabilities and maintain the required standard of quality and safety
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide support in projects to check and ensure timely upstream claims to clients are maximize to the company interest including variation order
- To report any major contractual status, arise after discussion with project sites
- Update any changes in project budget
- To ensure accurate and timely payment response are certified to the subcontractor’s monthly claim
- Develop accurate cost estimates for mechanical and electrical components, ensuring alignment with project budgets Oversee tender processes for mechanical and electrical contracts
- Analyze bids, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure competitive pricing and value for money
- Collaborate with project teams to control costs and identify potential cost-saving opportunities
To succeed in the QS Manager job, you will need to have core skills such as a practical and logical mind; creativity and innovation; strong numeracy, and financial management.
Key Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a focus on mechanical and electrical aspects
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and applications
