Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and thoroughly reviewing tender cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and comprehensive pricing schedules.
- Conducting in-depth analysis of drawings, specifications, and all tender requirements to accurately scope projects.
- Performing cost benchmarking and identifying opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
- Leading tender clarifications and managing post-tender negotiations to secure favorable project terms.
- Developing detailed project budgets and providing ongoing support for effective cost control and management of variations throughout project lifecycles.
- Coordinating closely with engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure alignment of cost estimates with technical designs and execution plans.
Key Requirements
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Relevant experience in costing and estimation for fire protection projects in Singapore is essential.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with the SCDF Fire Code and local authority requirements is a significant advantage.
- System Exposure: Experience with costing for various fire protection systems, including fire alarm, sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, and gas suppression systems, is highly desirable.
- Skills: Excellent coordination, analytical, and communication skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
