Job Description
In this role you will line-manage a team of up to 20 Operations staff responsible for Medical Information call center services, and other safety services as required, in collaboration with the operational site head and Lifecycle Safety senior management; you will ensure smooth running of the operational activities and the achievement of the department's metrics, goals and objectives in close collaboration with Lifecycle Safety Management.
You will support global coordination and development of Lifecycle Safety services; people management; department outputs and metrics and Lifecycle Safety change initiatives. Client communication is likely be a component of the role.

Manage Operations staff in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable regulations

Contribute, drive and lead on global initiatives e.g. Change management

Actively develop, lead and implement plans for measuring and improving employee engagemen

Initiate, lead, implement and support operational decisions in collaboration with senior management

Direct project resource assignments staff hiring; terminations; training in collaborations with senior management

Collaborate with other managers to address problem areas,

Ensure direct reports are cross trained on Lifecycle Safety service offerings as needed; monitor and develop training plans

Direct, lead and encourage direct reports in continuous improvement of department work processes

Ensure that staff have been trained on and are following required Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Pharmacovigilance Practice (GVP), FDA and ICH guidelines and regulations
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of Lifecycle Safety service lines and/or willingness to increase knowledge across Lifecycle Safety service lines and develop new skills.
- Proven, effective, staff management skills.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or educational equivalent in Scientific or Healthcare discipline or other directly related field and
4 years' clinical research experience in a Contract Research Organization or Pharmaceutical company combining 3 years' Safety experience (Medical Information, Pharmacovigilance, CEVA, SARA, Risk Management etc) and
Ideally 1-2 years’ experience in line management or people leadership, or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
