Our client is a leading Singapore-based charity with Institution of a Public Character (IPC) status, dedicated to transforming lives through innovative animal-assisted learning and therapy programs. Since its establishment, the organization has partnered with schools, social service agencies, and corporate teams to empower vulnerable individuals, including children, youth, seniors, and persons with special needs, by enhancing social-emotional well-being and resilience.

Your New Role

  • Act as a business partner to operating departments to ensure adherence to budgets.

  • Collaborate with Board Directors, Finance and Audit Committees, auditors, financial institutions, donors, vendors, and government agencies on financial and compliance matters.

  • Lead day-to-day accounting and finance functions including timely financial reporting, budget tracking, cash flow management, forecasting, statutory filings, and grant applications.

  • Ensure compliance with Charity Accounting Standards (CAS) and regulatory requirements.

  • Review and improve internal control policies and systems for efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Oversee annual IPC renewal and audit processes.

  • Manage asset administration and drive IT/digitalization initiatives for process improvement.

  • Support the CEO and Board in corporate secretariat and board management matters.

  • Contribute to strategic planning for sustainable and scalable organizational growth.

  • Build and maintain a positive workplace culture.

  • Handle additional projects or tasks as assigned by the Board and Management.

Key Qualifications for Success

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.

  • Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.

  • Strong knowledge of Charity Accounting Standards (CAS) and regulatory compliance.

  • Proven experience in financial governance, risk management, and internal controls.

  • Hands-on experience in budgeting, cash flow management, and statutory reporting.

  • Familiarity with grant applications and funding processes.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience working with boards and committees.

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

  • Proficiency in accounting systems and willingness to lead digitalization initiatives.

  • High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Passion for contributing to social impact and the non-profit sector.
