SHIPPING OFFICER
A well-established provider of a comprehensive range of logistics and moving services backed by the world's largest global logistics network, well-trained personnel, and sophisticated IT systems. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global company and be part of the company's expansion.
Key responsibilities:
- Booking of shipments with internal freight forwarding division
- Liaise closely with the customer service on the actual cargo volume requirement.
- Coordinate with warehouse operations for transfer of cargo.
- Confirmation of shipping documents, Bill of Lading with overseas agent.
- Pre-alert of shipment and liaising of shipment issue with overseas agent.
- Update of shipping data to the in-house system
- Performing issuing of invoices of shipments upon receiving confirmation of billing charges and costing.
- Perform issuing of other invoices, manage filing and ad hoc administrative duties as assigned.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have strong working knowledge within shipping processes.
Key requirements:
- Diploma holder or its equivalent
- Knowledge and experience in shipping preferred.
- Container documentation experience is highly advantageous
- Min 2-3 years of relevant work experience in Shipping or freight
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Immediate availability is preferred.
