This role is pivotal in developing and executing new business strategies in the Southeast Asian market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, project management, and experience in robotics, IT, or innovation, with the ability to conceptualize and launch new business initiatives from scratch.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Support Strategy Development: Collaborate with the Business Innovation team to build strategies, plans, and goals for new business initiatives in South-East Asia
Market Evaluation: Assist in evaluating market potential and strategies for launching new businesses, including identifying HR needs, eco-partners, and potential customers
Project Management: Assist in managing projects related to new business initiatives, ensuring timely and successful execution
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Construction-Tech Lab Singapore and Technology Research Institute to identify and support commercialization opportunities
Relationship Building: Establish and maintain relationships with key ecosystem players, including government, educational institutions, startups, and other organizations
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Proven working experience in business development, sales, or a relevant role
Proven sales track record
Knowledge of corporate innovation
Experience in project management and strategy creation
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce)
Market knowledge
May require overseas business travel
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
BSc/BA in engineering, computer science, business administration, sales, marketing, or a relevant field
High business acumen and analytical thinking
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build trust and credibility with senior stakeholders
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to handle pressure, meet deadlines, and work with agility
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Japanese, necessary for client negotiations and internal communication
Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to develop and launch new business initiatives from scratch
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities
Good knowledge of MS Office skills and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce)
Understanding of market trends and emerging technologies such as cloud computing, AI, IoT, or other relevant fields
