OVERVIEW
Our client, a Japanese news agency, is looking for a Reporter and Editor.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Building rapport and effectively communicate with interviewees.
Asking insightful questions and follow up on responses to obtain comprehensive information.
Editing to refine content, ensuring clarity, coherence, and adherence to editorial standards.
Writing in a style that is accessible to a broad audience while maintaining accuracy and depth.
Locating, analyzing, and summarizing official documents and reports.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Business-level English language skills: Proficiency in English for both internal and external communication.
Native-level Japanese language skills: Fluency in Japanese for reporting and writing.
Ability to create charts and diagrams using Excel: Skilled in using Excel to create visual data representations.
Highly mobile and proactive: Willingness and ability to travel for on-site interviews and other fieldwork.
Persistent in information gathering and writing: Strong research skills and dedication to producing high-quality written content.
Experience as a journalist or editor is preferred: Previous experience in journalism or editing is advantageous, but not mandatory.
BENEFITS
Salary: SGD 4,000 to 4,500

Holidays and leave: Annual leave of 10 days in the first year (up to 20 days per year after 7 years)

Training: One-month training in Tokyo (online training available if unable to attend in person)
