OVERVIEW
We are currently hiring for shore-based marine engineering positions at a major global shipping company, targeting candidates with experience ranging from Chief Engineer to First Engineer.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Vessel performance analysis
- Consolidation of defect reports
- Information gathering and letter preparation from main engine/auxiliary machinery manufacturers
- Machinery and electrical outfitting for newbuildings
- Attendance at FAT (Factory Acceptance Test)
- Vessel visits (current status assessment and improvement proposals)
- Planning of retrofit work during docking
- Support for alternative fuels and BioFuel
Compliance with regulations
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience as Chief Engineer to First Engineer or holder of First-Class Marine Engineer license
- Broad knowledge and capability to cover various aspects of onshore technical operations
- Business-level English proficiency (TOEIC score of 600 or higher) for internal and external communication
- Business-level Japanese proficiency for internal and external communication
