[Startup] Office Manager Position at a Japanese Company
Job Responsibilities
General Affairs and Administrative Tasks
- Review and update regulations and legal requirements related to office operations
- Handle inquiries from government agencies, accounting firms, and law firms as needed
- Coordinate and respond to inquiries from the Japan headquarters
- Manage and oversee all tasks related to office operations
- Administrative support (inventory management, outsourcing IT troubleshooting, etc.)
Human Resources
Recruitment activities (posting job ads, screening applicants, arranging interviews, onboarding procedures, etc.)
- Payroll-related tasks
- Employment-related contract management
- Employee performance management (support goal setting, performance evaluations, follow-up)
- Review and ensure compliance with MOM policies; contact MOM when necessary
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding
Other Ad-hoc Tasks
- Support audit-related work (schedule coordination, etc.)
- Carry out other related duties as required
Job Requirements
- Business-level English (essential for internal and external communication)
- Conversational-level Japanese (preferred for internal communication)
- Ability to handle a wide range of tasks with flexibility
- Strong communication skills and ability to work smoothly as part of a team
Additional Details
- Salary: Around S$5,000–S$7,000/month (depending on experience)
- Benefits: Under review during the startup phase
