Front-end Engineer (React)

COMPANY OVERVIEW
My client, a cloud-based SaaS developer is looking to hire a junior Front-end Engineer who wants to enhance their technical skills with React and Redux.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with the Product Manager and other Engineers within the Scrum team, as well as across different product teams, to develop highly scalable web application for our enterprise users.
• Write clean and efficient code, adhering to high standards in style, maintainability, and best practices.
• Contribute in design discussions to achieve a high-performance product and optimal user experience.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure best practices are followed.
• Proactively ask questions to seek clarification and understanding of requirements.
• Document specifications, designs and processes to guide future developments.
• Proactively take the initiative to identify, troubleshoot and debug issues.
• Innovate and challenge the status quo. Continuously finding opportunities to improve product quality.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in frontend development.
• Proficiency in React is required.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of high coding standards, test coverage, best practices, and clean coding.
• Capable of implementing targeted optimisations in performance, engineering efficiency, and other key areas.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of frontend multi-tier application architectures, protocols, web stack and frameworks, as well key concepts and underlying design philosophy.
• Familiar with Agile (Scrum) development methodologies and product/software development lifecycles.
• Experience in web application development and knowledge in modern frontend technologies (TypeScript / Redux / Webpack / HTML5 / CSS3) is a plus.
• Demonstrate the ability to understand the team’s long-term goals and overall business vision.

• Possess strong communication skills, is a team player and great collaborator, and feels comfortable working in a culturally diverse team environment.

• Package: Depends on your experience (Base + AWS + WFH allowance + Retirement fund S$200/month)
