OVERVIEW

Recruiting a Country Finance Manager for a foreign-affiliated F&B company entering the Japanese market!

* This position will be based in Tokyo, Japan, with hiring in Japan.


 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial strategies and plans to support business growth and operational efficiency.

  • Budget Management: Oversee the creation and management of the annual budget, ensuring alignment with business and financial goals.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

  • Cost Control: Monitor and analyze financial performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.

  • Compliance: Ensure financial activities comply with local regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

  • Tax Management: Supervise tax planning and compliance activities, ensuring accurate and timely filing.

  • Audit Coordination: Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion and addressing any findings.

  • Cash Flow Management: Maintain necessary liquidity to support operational and strategic needs.

  • Vendor and Supplier Management: Manage financial relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely payments and resolving discrepancies.

  • Team Leadership: Develop a high-performing finance team and foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with operations, marketing, HR, and other departments to ensure alignment and effective execution of financial strategies.

  • Financial Systems: Implement and maintain systems and tools to enhance financial reporting and analysis capabilities.


 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in financial management within the food and beverage or retail industry.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skill both in English and Japanese (Necessary for internal/ external communication) 

  • Good presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in financial management software and tools.

  • High accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge of local financial regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
