OVERVIEW
Recruiting a Country Finance Manager for a foreign-affiliated F&B company entering the Japanese market!
* This position will be based in Tokyo, Japan, with hiring in Japan.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial strategies and plans to support business growth and operational efficiency.
Budget Management: Oversee the creation and management of the annual budget, ensuring alignment with business and financial goals.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Cost Control: Monitor and analyze financial performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
Compliance: Ensure financial activities comply with local regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Tax Management: Supervise tax planning and compliance activities, ensuring accurate and timely filing.
Audit Coordination: Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion and addressing any findings.
Cash Flow Management: Maintain necessary liquidity to support operational and strategic needs.
Vendor and Supplier Management: Manage financial relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely payments and resolving discrepancies.
Team Leadership: Develop a high-performing finance team and foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with operations, marketing, HR, and other departments to ensure alignment and effective execution of financial strategies.
Financial Systems: Implement and maintain systems and tools to enhance financial reporting and analysis capabilities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience in financial management within the food and beverage or retail industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skill both in English and Japanese (Necessary for internal/ external communication)
Good presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in financial management software and tools.
High accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of local financial regulations and compliance requirements.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
