A leading Japanese MNC at Central is looking for Accounting Manager
Job Description
You will be reporting to Senior Finance Manager and supervise 2 to 3 accounting staffs
Location: Raffles Place
Responsibilities:
Accounting
- Manage and lead the company’s accounting operations (full spectrum)
- Review of monthly Management accounts in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards
- Ensure timely submission of management accounts to Japan Headquarter and providing prompt replies for queries (if any)
- Provide variance analysis of quarterly results versus budget / last year
- Provide strong support to external / internal auditors to complete the annual audit by the stipulated timeline
- Responsible for matters relating to Accounting Systems, SAP Business One, not limited to authorization rules and maintenance of chart of accounts
- Work with outsourced accounting firm on the consolidation of group accounts based on International Financial Reporting Standards
- Provide support for the annual budget exercise
- On-going initiatives to improve current internal controls and processes
Taxation
- Ensure timely submission of quarterly GST
- Preparation of annual estimated / final corporate tax with outsourced tax consultants
- Liaise with outsourced tax consultants for other tax queries
Finance
- Manage and control the company’s cashflows
- Preparation and submission of working capital estimates
- Ensuring prompt interest settlement for existing bank loans
Others
- Provide strong support to Business divisions such as PL/BS/CF simulations
- Other ad-hoc tasks assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum Accounting Degree, Chartered Accountant will be added advantage
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience with supervisory experience
- Experience from Big 4 accounting firms is preferred
- Knowledge in accounting systems is preferred, but not compulsory
- Good team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
