Senior IT Consultant/Manager(Japanese Speaking)

Our client is a leading IT consulting company in Japan, which support clients’ transformation of management, business, and IT. From 2020, they launched business in Singapore to expand IT consultation service in APAC.

■Detail

The initial mission of this position is to acquire new clients in logistics industry with us. You will be required to actively identify the potential clients and build, enhance, and maintain the relationships with the client to obtain the new projects. After winning the project, you may be asked to lead that project as PM or PMO, if necessary.

Therefore, the candidate would be responsible for:

[Sales]

• Develop and execute strategic plans to acquire new clients.

• Discuss and propose with potential clients in Southeast Asia to identify their needs, discuss what we can propose, and close the deal.

• Build, enhance, and maintain relationships with clients in Southeast Asia to acquire further projects.

[PM]

• Build, enhance, and maintain relationships with stakeholders in the client and project members.

• Consider budget, team structure, schedule (master schedule, WBS, etc) from the QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) perspective.

• Detect risks early and act to mitigate them.

• Tracking the progress of project timelines and deliverables.

• Issue tracking and follow ups.

• Document review including test management and design.

• Manage communications between the project team members and the vendor team.

• Report to relevant parties at the appropriate time.

[PMO (Leader Level)]

• Build, enhance, and maintain relationships with stakeholders in the client and project members.

• Detect risks early and act with client’s stakeholders to mitigate them.

• Manage communications between the project team members and the vendor team.

• Document review including budget, test management and design.

• Appropriate follow-up for project members.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

[Key Requirements]

• Experience in leading logistics (warehouse) operations reform/improvement projects in overseas (better in Southeast Asia).
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the field of IT Project Management in logistics (warehouse) industry.
• At least 3 years of Job experience in overseas (better in Southeast Asia).

• Logistics domain knowledge (warehouse, last mile, forwarding, maritime, etc).

• Process broad business acumen and deep IT knowledge, and to use this knowledge to develop client relationships.
• Ability to consider and make proposals to potential clients based on hypotheses.

• Strong leadership skills

• Capability to challenge in small organization and projects.
• Ability to effectively influence both internal and external stakeholders.
• Native Level Japanese and Business Level English for aligning with Japanese clients and local stakeholders. 

[Preferred Requirements]

• Experience in leading WMS (Warehouse Management System) related project (such as WMS implementation or renewal) in Southeast Asia.

• Warehouse IT system knowledge (WMS, WCS, LMS, etc)

• Work experience in major logistics company in Southeast Asia as IT manager level.
