COMPANY OVERVIEW
This role is part of a regional office that oversees sales and marketing activities for scientifically supported dairy‑derived and probiotic functional ingredients across Southeast Asia. Established in 2022, the Singapore office plays a key role in supporting the organisation’s regional expansion and strengthening its presence within ASEAN markets. The team collaborates closely with colleagues in Japan and other regional partners to deliver innovative, evidence‑based nutritional solutions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Sales Executive to join the Functional Ingredients Marketing Group. This position has been created to support the team during a maternity leave period, with the possibility of evolving into a permanent role depending on performance and business needs.
You will be part of a small, agile regional team consisting of two members (including one Japan‑based colleague) and will report directly to senior management at the Japan headquarters.
B2B Sales & Market Development
Drive sales of scientifically validated functional ingredients across Southeast Asian markets, including Singapore.
Understand and communicate the functions, benefits, and research behind various nutritional ingredient categories.
Distributor Management
Support existing distributors in Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
Execute sales initiatives, track progress, and provide regular updates to management.
New Customer Acquisition
Identify and engage potential B2B clients, including supplement brands, health‑focused companies, and OEM/ODM manufacturers.
Present ingredient functionalities, applications, and supporting scientific evidence.
Business Operations & Coordination
Prepare and manage confidentiality agreements, commercial contracts, and licensing documents.
Participate in regular meetings with the headquarters’ Functional Ingredients Team.
(If experienced) Handle basic trade‑related tasks.
Travel Requirements
Conduct monthly short business trips (3–5 days each) within Southeast Asia, particularly to Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Strong interest or experience in B2B sales, nutrition, functional ingredients, or health-related products
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to plan, multitask, and work independently within a small team
Comfortable with regional travel
Proactive, adaptable, and customer-focused mindset
