The Ministry of Manpower announced changes to S Pass salary criteria and Fair Consideration Framework (FCP) job advertising requirements on 5th March 2018. For a brief summary of these changes, you can refer to the below.

Changes of Fair Consideration Framework (FCP) job advertising requirements

Current:
Applies to companies with 25 or more employees, and jobs salary of up to $12,000

Changes (Effective from 1st July 2018):
Will extended to apply to companies with 10 or more employees, and jobs paying less than $15,000

Changes of S Pass salary criteria

Current:
S$2,200 minimum entry-level salary for applicants

Changes (to be implemented in two steps):
January 2019: S$2,300 (increased by S$100)
January 2020: S$2,400 (total increase of S$200)

Changes to the Employment Act (EA): Salary cap removal

Current: Current EA coverage eligible person: monthly basic salary of less than S$4,500
Changes: The removal of the salary cap of S$4,500
