The Software Developer role offers the opportunity to support application development and database enhancement within a technology services environment. This 4-month agency contract role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on experience in VB.NET, MS SQL Server, and T-SQL, particularly across application support and performance optimisation.
Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using VB.NET
Design and support MS SQL Server databases, stored procedures, functions, views, and T-SQL scripts
Analyse requirements and deliver technical solutions
Troubleshoot application and database issues
Perform testing, deployment, and production support
Optimise application and database performance
Requirements
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in VB.NET and MS SQL Server, including T-SQL
Hands-on experience with stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and query optimisation
Experience in application support and issue resolution
Good understanding of SDLC and software development best practices
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Banking or financial services project experience
