Due to continued growth and expansion in Australia, our client—a leading multinational in specialty chemicals, advanced materials, life sciences, and industrial solutions—is looking to appoint an Assistant Manager, Business Development. Reporting to and partnering closely with the Deputy General Manager, this newly created role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and driving market development initiatives.
Responsibilities
Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing market segments, and expanding the customer base in line with the company's strategic objectives.
Manage and grow key customer accounts while building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry partners.
Promote and market the company's products and services across the Australian market, supporting revenue growth and market penetration.
Conduct market analysis to identify customer needs, industry trends, market potential, and competitor activities, and provide insights to management.
Support sales planning, pricing strategies, and regulatory compliance, including licensing and registration processes in accordance with relevant legislation.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Science, Biomedical, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years' business development experience within Life Sciences & Healthcare, Chemicals, or wholesale trading environments.
Proven ability to develop new business opportunities and drive growth.
Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
