The LNG Shipping Operations & Chartering Support Executive role offers the opportunity to support LNG cargo operations and commercial shipping activities within a dynamic energy trading environment. This role plays an important part in coordinating vessel operations, chartering support, market analysis, and risk management across complex LNG shipping activities.
Responsibilities
LNG Ship Operations & Chartering Support:
Support the evaluation of shipping solutions for the lifting and transport of FOB cargoes
Assist in spot and short term chartering requirements, including broker communication, Charter Party review, and safety coordination
Contribute to the evaluation of vessel procurement options, including TCP and COA, based on trading structures
Administer commercial terms for Time Charter Parties and Contracts of Affreightment
Issue voyage instructions and manage operational communications under applicable charter terms
Support cargo level vessel allocation planning
Commercial & Financial Coordination:
Align cargo schedules and voyage execution with traders and external stakeholders
Prepare data on the commercial implications of operational issues and claims
Manage financial settlements related to chartering, including demurrage calculations, negotiations, and claim administration
Oversee charter hire insurance and related financial arrangements
Market Intelligence & Analysis:
Monitor freight market trends and disseminate supply and demand intelligence
Produce analytical reports on newbuilding activity and vessel availability
Support profitability assessments and FOB cargo economics
Assess and escalate the commercial impact of schedule deviations or delays
Compliance & Risk Management:
Monitor transactions and counterparties for sanctions exposure and regulatory compliance
Provide supporting data for operational risk assessments and internal policy reviews
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as Marine Studies, Engineering, Business, or Economics
Minimum of 3 years of experience in LNG shipping, marine operations, or a related maritime role
Proven track record in shipping operations, cargo scheduling, and third party coordination
Experience in merchant marine shore operations or LNG specific vessel operations
Strong exposure to Charter Party review, ADP management, and scheduling
Sound understanding of LNG vessel design and performance capabilities
