The Equity Analyst - India Market role offers an opportunity to join a Singapore-based investment team with primary coverage responsibility for South Asian equities, particularly the Indian market. This hybrid position focuses on delivering high-quality, bottom-up equity research to support investment decision-making, portfolio construction, and monitoring.
Responsibilities
Perform fundamental equity research on assigned listed companies, including financial statement analysis, valuation modelling, scenario analysis, and assessment of business and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)-related risks and opportunities
Track and analyse regional and macroeconomic trends, sector developments, and company-specific events that may influence equity performance
Produce research outputs such as investment reports, internal notes, presentations, and market updates to support portfolio construction and monitoring
Develop, maintain, and refine financial models and investment theses for covered companies, ensuring assumptions remain current and well documented
Support the head of research and investment team with ad hoc analysis and the coordination of new research or investment initiatives
Requirements
At least 3 years of experience as an equity analyst focusing on the Indian stock market
Sell-side experience would be valuable
Strong knowledge of the Indian economy, market dynamics, and individual companies
