Michelle had always felt a strong affinity to and interest in Japan. Growing up, not only did her father work in a Japanese company, she read and watched Japanese media, and quickly took to the culture and language. After obtaining her Electronic Engineering Diploma from a local polytechnic, Michelle decided to hone her interest into a skill, and took on a 2-year Japanese language course in Tokyo, Japan. Upon returning to Singapore, Michelle leveraged on her polished third language and started contributing to Japanese companies across industries in her career, including tourism and manufacturing.
She has over 20 years of sales experience in managing key customer accounts, and has demonstrated strengths in building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. With her sincere and bubbly personality, she has had operated as a sole contributor, led teams, and marked herself as a true professional in both the over-achievement of goals set to her, as well as in working and engaging with people from different countries and cultures.
Because of her innate ability to work well with just about anyone, Michelle decided to join JAC Recruitment in 2017, specialising in talent recruitment across Manufacturing and Heavy industries. Just after a year, she was quickly promoted to a Senior Recruitment Consultant, and is now a mentor to her colleagues and trusted advisor to her clients. Her previous work experiences in similar industries has made her the SME in the company of these sectors, and she also wields a well-connected network of people in these spaces.
Michelle brings highly sought-after market insights and analyses to a long-standing industry, making her a well-known consultant in the field. She believes in finding win-win situations for both parties, done best by bringing together people with aligned beliefs, growing both the business and individual.
