Job Description:

 

The main responsibility of the Settlements Officer is to oversee daily trade settlements. He/she will also assist in ad-hoc projects, in relation to trade related initiatives and assist in some regulatory compliance related tasks.

 

Main responsibilities:

§  Send daily NAV to client

§  Perform cash forecasting to ensure cash accounts are sufficiently funded to prevent any overdraft

§  Ensure trades are matched with Brokers in Omgeo CTM with experience in using Bloomberg Portfolio Ordering Management System (POMS)

§  Release SWIFT instructions to Custodians

§  Perform EOD checks and inform Custodians on the trades done for the day by cut-off timing

§  Send FX instructions to Custodians for markets which require prefunding

§  Instruct Custodians on any voluntary Corporate Action

§  Follow up on any unmatched trades or failed trades with Brokers/Custodians

§  Maintain up-to-date record of SSIs in Omgeo ALERT

§  Update and maintain fee schedules in CUTS

§  Handle Broker account opening process

§  Follow up on India Capital Gain Tax with Custodian

§  Create Trading Schedules and Redemption Schedules (if any)

§  Assist Compliance team in all aspects of broker’s KYC

 

Qualifications:

§  Bachelor’s degree with relevant working experience

§  2 to 5 years of relevant experience in asset management operations or similar function with particular focus in the buy-side industry

§  Team player with strong communication, interpersonal and management skills including partnering with front, middle and back office

§  Proficiency in business English (verbal and written) is a must

§  Strong VBA, Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg skills are will be preferred
